Product builder & AI engineer · available for client builds & full-time roles
I find a business’s real bottleneck, then build the system that fixes it.
I’m Jackson Maitner — a product builder and AI engineer. From a live boat-charter booking platform to a nine-state driver-safety business with AI tooling underneath it, I ship real software that earns its keep.
Selected work
Five ventures, built end to end.
Each is a real business problem I scoped, built, and shipped — front end, backend, payments, AI, and the boring operational glue in between.
Online driver-safety education · 9 states
Road Ready Safety
A state-approved online defensive-driving platform — and the AI tooling, courses, and data engine behind it.
Booking site + automated operations backend
La Lancha
A booking website and a fully automated back-office for a one-boat charter business on Lake Michigan.
Contractor site with an AI instant-quote engine
Grandson's Construction
A contractor marketing site that returns an instant, AI-generated quote the moment a prospect asks.
Recruitment + info site for a charity ride
The Grateful Team
A public home for a charity cycling team raising funds across the Make-A-Wish Wish-A-Mile 300.
AI agents & internal tools
Labs
Smaller builds that show the range: a serverless AI agent and a domain-specific quoting tool.
The engineering I’m proudest of.
“A 10-minute reconciliation engine watches Stripe + JotForm and stamps Paid / Signed back onto every booking — so a one-person charter business never loses paperwork or money.”
La Lancha“A Cloudflare Worker calls Claude to write a contractor-credible quote the instant a lead arrives — with layered fallbacks so the customer moment never breaks.”
Grandson's Construction“A Claude web-search bot researched 25 Texas courts into structured, confidence-scored data — with retry and auto-resume built for real rate limits.”
Road Ready SafetyApproach
How I work.
Start at the bottleneck, not the tech.
Every project here began with a business losing time or money somewhere specific — cold leads, lost paperwork, manual research. I build to that, not to a framework checklist.
Use AI where it actually pays off.
Instant AI quotes, automated legal research, an agent that pitches me to recruiters — Claude does the reasoning, and I build the safety, fallback, and reliability layers around it so it holds up in production.
Ship it, then make it maintainable.
Live Stripe payments, real deployments on Cloudflare, and handoff docs so the owner — or the next engineer — can run it without me. Done means in production and supportable.
About
I’m Jackson Maitner — I’d rather ship a system that earns its keep than a demo that impresses.
I co-founded and built a nine-state online driver-safety business, automated a charter operator’s entire back-office, and put AI quote engines into production for real contractors. I move comfortably across the stack — front end, serverless backends, payments, and the AI layer — and I care most about the part most people skip: making it reliable and handing it off clean.
